Bio:

Joyce was born in London, of Jamaican parentage. Joyce is married with an adult daughter and is a former Drama Teacher who taught in mainstream secondary schools as well as special schools, for 28 years in Inner London. She took early retirement from teaching to return to working as a professional Actor and Voiceover Artist.
Joyce is an award-winning Actress who received awards for Best Actress for her role as Kim in a short film called The Last Breath by Anthony Cox. She also received Best Supporting Actress awards from the Film Haus Independent Film Festival in Berlin, the Lonely Wolf Film Festival and the Montreal Film Festival, in 2021.
Joyce is also known as Elite Voyce. She is a professional Voiceover Artist with her own professional, home studio. She is an aspiring, Screenplay Writer, Film Director, Producer as well as Editor.
Joyce wrote her first screenplay in July 2020, during the Covid pandemic, called 'Shielding Sheila', which is about a middle-aged woman who has an underlying health condition that impacts her relationship with her husband and her own, personal well-being. The film's post-production was carried out by her husband and herself. She played the lead female role of Sheila in the film and she also cast the film as well as directed it, filmed by her husband Clive Grey-Carter. The film received over 20 awards in various categories, from various international film festivals, from, September 2022 to June 2024 where it was last screened at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton by the Windrush Caribbean Film Festival.
Joyce has featured, in short films, feature films, music videos, and features in an American Sci-Fi TV Series called Foundation, based on the novels of Issac Asimov, directed by Rupert Sanders & Alex Graves. She has also featured, in various commercials one of which is the Tena commercial, directed by Yorgus Lanthimous. Joyce is also soon to be seen in another feature thriller film called Ice Fall, where she plays Carol, opposite Cara Jade-Myers, with Joel Kinnaman, as the lead, directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky.
Joyce enjoys singing jazz and blues and is teaching herself to play the double bass. She is also a professional voiceover artist.
